Ski Day #35
Park City reported eight inches of new this morning. Charli, Bill and I made our way to the mountain in time for first chair on Ski Team. A long powder run on Silver King was the best way to start the morning while the patrol bombed Puma and Jupiter. Check out the clip of Bill getting first tracks:
After another run on Ski Team, we made our way to McConkey’s hoping to time the opening...
My Friend Has Started A New Blog: 20 A Night
The site is a daily log of how many beers he consumed the night before. He’s a bit of a drinker and would, understandably, like to remain anonymous. Check out his blog, post some comments, and tell all your friends.

Happy Birthday to Hobbes!
It’s Leap Day, Hobbes’ unofficial 2nd birthday!!!
Hobbes was a rescue dog who’s birthdate remains one of the world’s great unknowns. Last year I decided to celebrate his birthday sometime in late February. This year his birthday falls on Leap Day, February 29th.
Feel free to leave any messages for Hobbes on his Myspace...

One of my favorite emails about the Sonic’s situation:

This season is like watching “Major League” — except the evil plan actually worked.
And a highlight reel of Shawn Kemp’s dunks:
Oh, I found this video of Seattle drivers:

Charli's New Puppy, "Mogul"
Check out the video and some of the pictures. He’s a German Shepherd/Black Lab Mix. Charli picked him up yesterday at a shelter in Salt Lake. In less than a day he has learned to sit (if you give him a treat), fetch (if he’s chasing a treat and given a treat upon return), and can even come when called (if treats are involved).
Charli seems to believe that Mogul is a rather...
Ski Day #34
After saying our goodbye’s to the Seattle crew as they left for the airport, Charli and I did our best to catch first chair at Park City. A quick stop for the Greatest Breakfast in the World (Park City Bread & Bagel) delayed our efforts, but we made it to Puma Bowl in time to find some untracked snow. Bluebird day and a foot of new made for pretty good conditions. One of the best days...
Ski Day #33
Tele-day at Park City Mountain Resort. Charli talked Byron, Barker and me into renting Telemark gear for the day. It was my third day on tele’s and Byron and Barker’s first time. After a few hours of falls, crashes, and near-disasters, we got the hang of it enough for Charli to lead the circus act to Pioneer Ridge and 10th Mountain.
These videos were of our last run of the day...

Ski Day #32
Skied Park City again today. The four inches of new helped soften the snow following a week of sun, but not soft enough to do anything too crazy. Thus, not too many videos or pictures from today. I’ll see what I can post.
Ski Day #31
The poor weather forced us to reschedule the 14th Annual Fat Bear Mountain Freestyle Invitational Open Classic. We instead made our way to the backcountry, building various jumps for the ski movie. By the end of the day, we had built four different jumps with varying levels of success.
Ski Day #30
Beautiful day at Park City Mountain Resort. Grant, Byron, Cahoon, Barker and I had a pretty good day. We jumped a cliff in Puma Bowl, straightlined Scott’s, and dorked around the mountain.
Ski Day #29
Made the drive to Powder Mountain. Did a couple runs on Lightning Ridge. Not much new snow to be found five days after the latest storm. However, we did find a cliff to jump… a lot.
Left Pow Mow to get a Star Burger at the Shooting Star Saloon, but it was closed. It was a fun day. Great weather, tons of sun, and some fun video clips.
Ski Day #28
The Seattle Crew got in late Saturday night. After only a few hours sleep, we loaded up the cars and headed to Solitude. It turned out to be an incredible day. Found some untouched powder stashes off Honeycomb, dropped some cilffs, and even broke a ski.
I’ll put up some videos when I have more energy.
Ski Day #27
After grabbing the greatest breakfast ever at Park City Bread and Bagel, we caught the first chair at Park City today. Bluebird day and knee to waist-deep powder in some spots. The snow was a couple days old, but somehow remained some of the lightest snow I can remember skiing.
Charli and I hiked Puma Bowl twice and Pioneer Ridge once. Also finding some good snow on Jupiter Access and a...

Crazy News From The University of Utah
http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=2640033
A 27 year old guy was shot and killed outside a house party a block from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. I don’t remember anything like that happening when I was in school.
Interestingly, the house where the murder took place, was once occupied by some of my friends, Tessa, Katie and Lauren. We often hung out at the place before and...
Ski Day #26
The resorts were pretty crowded this weekend, so I decided to spend the day touring the backcountry with Hobbes. Took some good pictures. Found some new, fun lines. The snow sucked. But hard to beat touring in 40+ degree sunshine.
Ski Day #25
Skied Park City again today. The bottom half of the mountain was ridiculously hot, the top half was pretty nice, but any un-groomed snow had set up like mashed potatoes. Charli and I hiked Pinecone. The best thing about the run was the workout we got from the hike (and watching Charli ski into a tree).
I put up some pictures from the run on Pinecone.
